Niels Bouwman
CEO
Founder & Former CEO of Lytho
Niels is the Founder of the SaaS success story Lytho.com. He exited in 2021 to Level Equity and holds different advisory roles. He previously worked for Ricoh in various sales and strategic roles. Niels is a firm believer of an informal leadership style and values giving team members plenty of freedom and responsibility. His goal is to build something with meaningful impact that is going to change the way we verify content.
Hugo Smits
CTO
Development Lead on Nintendo DS games
Hugo Smits is a seasoned technical leader with deep expertise in graphics, media formats, and image compression. He led development teams on more than a dozen Nintendo DS and 3DS titles, built award-winning mobile games, and authored nativeWebP, a high-performance encoder for Google’s WebP format written entirely in Go.
His experience in compression, rendering, and low-level media systems forms the foundation of Verify’s AI models and fingerprinting technology—powering the next generation of content protection and digital rights enforcement.
